KPMG

Anyone who knows me would say I’m not a natural talker…
As soon as there’s a group, I’m usually happy to stay quiet. But I’ve learned that, just like in ski racing, real growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone.

A few weeks ago, I gave a presentation at KPMG. It was my second time speaking there. The first time was an interview sit down style, and the second time I held a presentation.

The first time around, I was so nervous I couldn’t even eat beforehand. I doubted if what I had to say would connect with the audience, and whether I needed to change my story to fit the image of “the men in suits.” But when I arrived, the interviewer gave me some advice I really needed to hear,
“Just be yourself. Don’t try to fit into a mold. They want to hear your story and how you’ve done things your way.”

Fast forward to this presentation, I was ready and genuinely excited to share.

KPMG has been a long-time supporter of Alpine Team Norway, so getting the chance to give something back means a lot to me.

The feedback after the talk was incredibly positive. The audience appreciated hearing directly from me. Not just about the results, but what it feels like to live this life: the ups, the downs, the doubts, the setbacks, the discipline, and the drive to keep going.

I also shared some personal tools I use, like journaling and visualization. Things that have helped me grow not just as an athlete, but as a person. Preparing for the talk also gave me a rare moment to slow down and reflect, something that’s hard to find during a long season.

I’m really grateful for the opportunity and for the kind energy in the room. I am looking forward to future opportunities to speak and share a bit of what this journey has been like. If you’d like to get in touch Click Here.
